Woman Seriously Injured After Being Hit by Car at Lidl Portsmouth
Air Ambulance Rushed to Scene
A woman in her 50s was hit by a car in the Lidl car park on Goldsmith Avenue, Portsmouth, this Wednesday morning. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance touched down in Milton Park to treat her on the spot.
Emergency Services Swarm the Scene
- South Central Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the incident at 11.21am.
- Hampshire Police officers rushed to the site.
- Two fire appliances from Hampshire Fire and Rescue also responded.
Serious Injuries and Hospital Treatment
“The pedestrian was a female aged in her mid-50s who had sustained serious injuries – she has been taken to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Southampton by road with the air ambulance crew travelling with her,” said a South Central Ambulance spokesperson.
The driver of the car involved is being taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for further assessment.
