Four Scottish ventures have snagged a slice of the £240 million Net Zero Hydrogen Fund:
- Statera (Kintore): Plans a 3GW electrolytic hydrogen project using Scotland’s excess wind power to fuel industrial clusters.
- Octopus Energy (Lanarkshire): A 15MW electrolysis setup linked to onshore wind, producing 3.5 tonnes of green hydrogen daily.
- Falck Renewables: Creating the UK’s first fully off-grid mainland hydrogen hub, producing 160+ tonnes annually.
- Getech (Inverness): Developing a green hydrogen hub aiming for 10+ tonnes daily production, storage, and supply.
