Wiltshire Police Appeal for Information Following Fire at Swindon Sports Complex

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a deliberate fire at the Webbswood Stadium complex in Swindon, which has caused significant damage estimated at several thousand pounds.

The incident occurred on August 28, at around 2:30pm, when a fire was reportedly started between two metal containers at the site. The fire quickly spread to the containers, causing approximately £8,000 worth of damage to kit and equipment belonging to Swindon Supermarine Youth Football Club.

According to witnesses, four young males, believed to be in their early to mid-teens, were seen running away from the scene in the direction of the woods near Sevenhampton. The suspects are described as being of slim build and were wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and navy blue or black hoodies at the time.

Wiltshire Police have stated that investigations into the incident are ongoing and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
