Woman Named After Fatal Basingstoke Collision

Police have this morning named the woman who died following a road collision in Basingstoke on Friday. Kirsty Saunders, 30, of Sinclair Drive, Basingstoke, was the front seat passenger of the dark blue BMW which was involved in a collision on Friday, June 24. The car was driving along the A30 at Water End, in the direction of Hook, when it left the carriageway and collided with a tree. She was taken to hospital but sadly died of her injuries on Monday morning. The driver, a 36-year-old man, remains in a critical condition at Southampton General Hospital. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), who are investigating the incident, would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision or who saw the car prior to the incident.
