Woman escapes serious injuries following crash
A woman’s has to hospital by ambulance following a crash this morning (Friday). Police were called to the The Chequers Inn Road Rookley just after 8.30 to a report of a vehicle on its side. Medics treated the woman at the scene after she was freed and has since been taken to St Mary’s hospital in Newport Traffic in the area is still very heavy following a road closure to assist emergency workers and recovery of the vehicle from a ditch.
