M25 Murder Trial Kicks Off in Guildford

The trial of a man accused of murdering 20-year-old Hughie Saunders has begun at Guildford Crown Court today. Hughie, from Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, was attacked and killed at the busy Cobham Services on the M25 on June 26 earlier this year.

Suspect Held Since Arrest

Simon Daniel Baker, 22, from Green Lane, Outwood, Redhill, has been in custody since his arrest. He faces charges over the brutal battery that led to Hughie’s death. The case is now before the court as the trial gets underway this morning.
