Brazen Burglars Smash Co-op Cash Machine in Dead of Night!

Midnight Mayhem at Denmead Co-op

Police are hunting thieves after a daring burglary at the Co-op store on Hambledon Road, Denmead. Officers were scrambled at 1.38am on Wednesday 3 October following reports of the break-in.

The front of the shop was left in tatters. Shockingly, a digger was abandoned at the scene and part of the cash machine – including cash boxes – was stolen.

Van Linked to Crime Found Nearby

A Ford Transit van suspected to have been used in the smash-and-grab was later recovered near Old Winchester Hill. Police are working hard to track down those responsible but no arrests have yet been made.
