Police Van Vandalised in Southampton: Hunt On for Off-Road Biker

Police are on the lookout after a marked police van was attacked in broad daylight in Lordshill, Southampton. The damage happened between 8.35am and 8.50am on Wednesday, 27 March while the van sat parked in Fraser Close.

Rock and Brick Attack Leaves Van Off the Road

Witnesses report someone sped past on an off-road motorbike, hurling a rock at the windscreen and a brick at the side of the police van. The windscreen smashed and now needs replacing, putting the vehicle out of action.

Police Issue CCTV Appeal to Spot Suspect

PC Chris Sharland said: “We’ve released a CCTV image in relation to this appeal. We’d like to trace the owner or rider of this motorcycle as they may be able to help us with our enquiries. If you have any information about who may be responsible for this mindless act of criminal damage, please call Police on 101 quoting 44190105665.”
