Abbas Hussain, aged 32, of The Avenue, Kennington, Oxford, was charged with one count of assault by beating on 2 May. The charge relates to an incident in The Avenue at around 5:30pm on 1 May, when a 31-year-old man was assaulted. Hussain appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on 3 May and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He has been bailed to next appear at the same court on 3 Jul
