Six arrests made over fatal Wandsworth stabbing

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Wandsworth have made six arrests. The six males have been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to separate west London police stations for questioning. Police were called to Deeside Road, SW17 at 4.42pm on Friday, 14 June following reports of a stabbing. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a male, believed to be aged in his late teens in a critical condition. He died at the scene a short while later. A crime scene remains in place and police are appealing for anyone with information on what happened to call them urgently on 101 quoting CAD reference 5877/14June. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. Formal identification awaits. Police are in the process of informing the victim’s next of kin. The Homicide and Major Crime Command will be leading on this investigation in close partnership with police in Wandsworth. Local residents can expect an enhanced police presence in the area.
