Folkestone Drug Dealer Caught with 80 Heroin and Cocaine Wraps
A local drug dealer has been locked up for three years after police found more than 80 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine in Folkestone. Mark Wilkinson, 36, from Eastfields, was caught red-handed acting suspiciously in Grove Road on 13 November 2019.
Police Follow the Ringing Phone
Officers noticed one of Wilkinson’s two phones kept ringing nonstop. That raised alarms and led to his arrest on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs. At Folkestone Police Station, they discovered 81 wraps of heroin and crack hidden in his jacket lining.
Wilkinson Admits Drug Supply
Wilkinson refused to comment during police interviews but later pleaded guilty to being involved in supplying crack cocaine and heroin at Canterbury Crown Court on 16 December 2019. He was given a total sentence of three years on 24 January 2020.
Police Praise Jail Sentence
“The Class A drugs Wilkinson was pushing would have destroyed lives and devastated families,” said Detective Constable Michael Sedden, Kent Police’s lead investigator. “We’re committed to ridding the streets of drug dealers, and I’m glad this sentence keeps Wilkinson out of Folkestone for a long time.”
