Man, 68, Arrested After Brutal West London Stabbing

Detectives have swooped on a 68-year-old man over a savage stabbing on a west London estate. He was arrested on Thursday, 30 April, on suspicion of attempted murder and carrying an offensive weapon.

Victim Found Battling For Life

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service just after 5.30am on Wednesday, 22 April. Officers raced to the Brunel Estate, near Westbourne Park Road, W2, after reports of a stabbing.

They found a man in his 50s with a stab wound to his stomach. The victim managed to get on a bus where he told another passenger he had been attacked. That passenger alerted the bus driver, who stayed with the injured man until emergency services arrived.

Critical But Stable Condition

The victim was rushed to a central London hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition, as police continue their enquiries.
