Masked Machete Man Gregory Small Gets 7½ Years for Brutal Attack
Gregory Small, from Cedar Road, Farnborough, has been slammed with a hefty 7½-year jail sentence. The Salisbury Crown Court found him guilty of attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH), affray, and other offences after a chaotic three-day trial.
Machete Mayhem on Queens Road
On August 27, 2019, Small stormed Queens Road wearing a chilling black Halloween ‘Scream’ mask and a cape-style coat. Witnesses saw him wildly swinging a machete at one man in a group of four males. One victim suffered cuts to his abdomen and hand, plus bruising to his forearm.
The furious victims fought back, knocking Small to the ground and inflicting injuries of their own – including a laceration to one man’s arm. Police later found drugs in Small’s car during the investigation.
Criminal Record Stacks Up
- Threatening someone with a bladed article in public – 1½ years
- Attempted GBH and affray – 1 year
- Possession of cannabis with intent to supply (March 2020) – 4 months
- Possession of cocaine – 1 month
All sentences will run concurrently, locking Small up for a total of seven and a half years behind bars.
Self-Defence Cleared for Victims
Small suffered serious injuries including a fractured skull, bruises, and abrasions. The court accepted the four men’s actions as self-defence. No charges will be brought against them.
Small now faces a long stretch in prison for his violent spree terrorising Farnborough streets.
