Four fire crews, including teams from Cosham and Southsea, arrived on the scene. They used cutting and spreading equipment to perform a dramatic roof removal to free the trapped casualty.

Paramedics Rush Patient to Hospital

The injured person was carefully placed on a spinal board and treated by paramedics from South Central Ambulance. They were then rushed to QA Hospital in Cosham for urgent medical care.

Road Blocks Cause Delays

Hampshire Constabulary Roads Policing officers closed the road to assist with the delicate extraction and vehicle recovery. The damaged car was later declared a write-off.
