Teen Girl Attacked in Shocking Assault on Lovers Walk
A 16-year-old girl was left shaken after a man accosted her in broad daylight on Lovers Walk, near Oakmount Road, on Monday 16 August at around 4.35pm.
Man Makes Disturbing Advances – Girl Escapes Unharmed
The victim was walking towards Highfield Lane when the stranger suddenly touched her back. He said he was “just passing by” before wrapping his arm around her shoulder and asking to see her breasts. The man then pulled the strap of her dress off her shoulder.
The girl screamed, forcing the attacker to flee. Thankfully, she suffered no physical injuries.
Police Release E-Fit as Hunt for Pervert Intensifies
Police are urgently appealing for information to help identify the suspect. The e-fit shows a:
- White male, 40-50 years old
- Over 6ft tall, skinny with broad shoulders
- Short brown hair, wearing a cap
- Long face with wide forehead, prominent brow bone, smile lines, thin lips
- Clean-shaven with brown eyes and deep local accent
- Wearing an oversized polo shirt, shorts and trainers
- Notably has a prosthetic leg
Officers are urging anyone who recognises this man to come forward now.
