Robbery Shocker at Braintree Texaco – Essex Police Make Two Arrests
Essex Police are still at the scene of a serious incident at the Texaco petrol station at Galleys Corner on the A120 in Braintree early this Friday morning.
Emergency Services Respond to Early Hour Robbery
Officers and emergency crews rushed to the garage after reports of a robbery just after 1.20am. Essex Police confirmed they detained a 36-year-old woman on suspicion of robbery and a 36-year-old man on suspicion of burglary. Both remain in custody.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. They tweeted at 2.35am urging anyone who saw the incident to call 101 or use their live chat quoting reference 74 – 01/10/2021.
“We were called at around 1:22am today (Friday 1 October) to the Texaco garage at Galleys Corner roundabout on the A120 following reports of a robbery. Officers arrived on scene and quickly made two arrests,” a spokesperson said.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
