Armed Gang Sparks Police Alert in Putney
On 23 October, police sprang into action after reports of a group of males spotted carrying weapons in the Putney area.
Possible Linked Robberies in Mitcham
Officers also received two unconfirmed reports of robberies that might be connected, occurring in nearby Mitcham.
Extra Police Patrols and Section 60 Order Enforced
To tackle the threat, extra officers were deployed across Putney and surrounding areas. A Section 60 order was put in place overnight, covering the Boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth for stop-and-search powers.
