Man Seriously Injured After Traffic Cone Thrown in Brutal Attack
Police rushed to Station Approach at 8.30pm on Saturday, 4 September, following reports of a violent altercation. Officers, joined by London Ambulance Service, found a man in his 30s with a serious head injury.
Traffic Cone Used as Weapon in Shocking Street Fight
During a heated argument between a group of men, someone hurled the base of a traffic cone at the victim. The blow caused him to collapse to the ground. He remains in hospital receiving treatment for life-changing injuries.
Police Appeal for Help to Track Down Attackers
His family is being supported by specially trained officers. Detective Constable Louise Powell of East Area CID said:
“This attack has left the victim with a serious head injury which could have lifelong consequences for him and his family. We are committed to finding those responsible and are now appealing for the public’s help to identify two men who were seen in the area at the time of the attack.”
