A 10-year-old girl was knocked down on the A352 Dorchester Road near Colliers Lane at around 1.20pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Child Injured in Shocking Collision
The young pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment after being hit by a black Peugeot saloon.
Driver Flees Scene – Police Launch Appeal
The motorist failed to stop and sped off towards Winfrith, leaving the injured child behind.
PC Duncan Roberts of the traffic unit said: “I’m urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Check your dashcams for any footage that could help.”
He added, “We also want the driver to do the right thing and get in touch with us to explain what happened.”
