Knife-Wielding Raid in Sevenoaks Sparks Major Police Investigation
Kent Police are hunting a gang of knife-wielding raiders who stormed a house near Bradbourne Vale Road, Sevenoaks, on the evening of Sunday, August 28, 2022. The thugs stole cash and several mobile phones. One occupant was viciously attacked, suffering cuts to his hands and face.
First Suspect Nabbed and Charged
Just days later, officers from the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad arrested 24-year-old Kailum Dennis of Lyham Road, Brixton, on Wednesday, August 31. He faces serious charges including aggravated burglary, intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause violence, and carrying an offensive weapon.
Dennis appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 2, where he was remanded in custody.
Follow-Up Raids Net More Suspects and Drugs
Police executed a search warrant at a Lewisham address on Monday, September 5. Inside, they found two suspected firearms and nearly 300 wraps of crack cocaine. Three men were arrested:
- Benjamin Rodrigues, 19, of Gurney Road, Stratford
- Ismail Cassoma, 21, of Blessington Road, Lewisham
- Delcio Paulo, 19, also of Blessington Road, Lewisham
Benjamin and Ismail face multiple charges including possession of offensive weapons and firearms, two counts of possession of imitation firearms with intent to cause fear, grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Delcio Paulo was charged with possession of an imitation firearm to instil fear, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and possession of a firearm.
All three suspects were remanded in custody and are due back at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 7.
