Man Arrested Over Double Teen Stabbing in South East London
Hussain Bah, 18, from south-east London, was arrested on Friday, 2 December. He faces charges over the shocking murders of two 16-year-olds, Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke.
Double Stabbings Rock Abbey Wood and Thamesmead
The brutal attacks happened on Saturday, 26 November, at around 5:10pm. Police responded to two separate stabbing incidents – one on Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, the other on Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead.
Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scenes. Charlie Bartolo was found with fatal stab wounds on Sewell Road. Moments later, they discovered Kearne Solanke suffering similar injuries in Titmuss Avenue. Both teenagers tragically died despite lifesaving efforts.
Youth Charged and Court Dates Set
- Two youths, aged 16 and 15, have been charged with both murders.
- They appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 December.
- Both were remanded in youth custody with appearances at the Old Bailey scheduled for Tuesday, 6 December.
- A 16-year-old previously arrested on suspicion has now been released on bail and must return to a south London police station in 2023.
