On Friday, 28 July, officers secured another closure order for a property on Layton Avenue, Mansfield. A raid uncovered a significant stash of Class A drugs. A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drug possession with intent to supply and later bailed.
The Mansfield home had been plagued with complaints about antisocial behaviour and drug-related disorder, stirring unrest among neighbours.
Police Issue Stark Warning to Troublemakers
“These properties had become well-known for antisocial behaviour and disorder,” said Inspector Kylie Davies, district commander for Mansfield. “We were regularly called to incidents. It was an absolutely intolerable situation impacting the community.”
“Thanks to strong evidence and partnership work, the courts have granted these closure orders. I hope this sends a clear message to those who disrupt our communities. Even if you haven’t committed a criminal offence yet, we will work with partners to build a case and remove you.”
