Tragic Death After High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Crash at Brent Cross Flyover
22-Year-Old Woman Dies in Early Morning Collision
Maria Carolina Do Nascimento Migel, 22, tragically lost her life after a crash on Hendon Way, NW4, near the Brent Cross Flyover at around 3.45am. The fatal collision followed an attempted police stop of a vehicle that fled the scene shortly before the crash.
Police Chase Ends in Horror Crash
Officers on patrol signalled for a car to stop in Hendon Way, NW2, but it sped off. There was no pursuit. Minutes later, police were notified the same car had collided with another vehicle. The suspects fled the scene on foot.
Injuries and Arrests
- Maria was pronounced dead at the scene despite paramedics’ efforts.
- The driver of the other vehicle suffered a head injury but is in a stable condition.
- Four men – two aged 29, one aged 21, and one aged 32 – have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene.
- All suspects have been bailed pending further enquiries.
