Dartford Heath Goes Up in Flames Yet Again
Dartford Heath has been torched for the eighth time in just a few weeks. The latest blaze broke out on Sunday evening, sending firefighters scrambling back to the scene.
Firefighters Battle Relentless Blaze
Six fire engines from kent.fire-uk.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Kent Fire and Rescue Service">Kent Fire and Rescue Service were deployed to tackle the inferno. Crews are working hard to douse the flames and stop the fire from spreading further across the heath.
Arson Suspected Despite Recent Rain
Even with some rain in recent days, the dry heath remains a blazing tinderbox. Witnesses say a group of teenagers was spotted lighting fires in the woods just before the fire tore through a large area.
Luckily, no injuries have been reported so far. Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment on the ongoing wildfire crisis.
