A 34-year-old woman from Worthing, Joanne Cook, has been handed a jail sentence of 52 weeks for multiple counts of shoplifting and two accounts of assault.
Cook was found guilty of stealing various items such as alcohol, clothing, and food from multiple stores situated in Worthing’s High Street and Rowlands Road.
Cook’s case was brought before the court following a thorough investigation by local Police. Her repeated shoplifting offences and the charges of assault could not be overlooked, leading to her conviction and sentencing.
