Police Find Massive Drug Operation
Officers raided two units in St Bartholomews Court, St Ann’s, and uncovered cannabis plants and growing gear worth hundreds of thousands of pounds. The haul was part of a major crackdown on illegal drug production.
Two Men Caught Red-Handed
The St Ann’s Neighbourhood Policing Team swooped on Tuesday 7 March 2023, arresting Admir Jahelzi, 44, from Walthamstow, and 23-year-old Elis Sadikaj, who has no fixed address. Both were charged with producing a Class B drug and illegally using electricity.
Court Appearance and Police Praise
The duo appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court the very next day, Wednesday 8 March 2023. Sergeant Ash Small hailed the seizure:
“It is always good news when we can seize and destroy illegal drugs. These raids uncovered large cannabis grows and I am pleased we have placed two suspects before the courts.”
He added the raid resulted from solid intelligence and urged the public to keep reporting suspicious activity. Police also thanked their prisoner handling team for their expert work in securing charges.
Drugs and Equipment Removed
All illegal plants and growing equipment have now been removed from the premises, shutting down this significant drug operation for good.
