A police officer, PC Mohammed Sardar, aged 31 and affiliated with the East Area Basic Command Unit, is facing charges under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 as a result of an investigation conducted by the Metropolitan Police’s Anti-Corruption and Abuse Command.
The charges brought against PC Sardar, who was charged on 23 August, stem from alleged offences committed between 2018 and 2021. These offences involve the unauthorised access of information on police computer systems. The nature and extent of the alleged unauthorised access have not been disclosed at this time.
