Bus Crashes Into Building on Old Brompton Road

Chaos erupted early Tuesday morning after a bus smashed into a building on Old Brompton Road, sparking a major emergency response. The crash happened just after 5 a.m. Police quickly shut down the road between Redcliffe and Finborough Roads, causing heavy disruption.

Firefighters, police, and the London Ambulance Service rushed to help after reports of people trapped following the crash. Several bus routes, including the 74, 430, and C1, have been delayed or diverted due to the closure.

At this stage, the extent of injuries and the number of those affected remain unclear. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed officers were called around 5:45 a.m. to the junction of Old Brompton and Finborough Roads. They said:

“No reports of any serious injuries. Road closures remain in place. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
