CCTV Image Released in Connection with Whitstable Sexual Assault Case

Kent Police have released a CCTV image of a man potentially connected to a sexual assault case in Whitstable, as part of their ongoing investigation. The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 AM on Friday, June 21, 2024, on Canterbury Road, where a woman was inappropriately touched over her clothing.

Detective Constable Sian Smith, leading the investigation, acknowledges the quality of the image might not be ideal but remains hopeful it will aid in identifying the individual. Although the image is not of the best quality, we are hopeful that it may jog someone’s memory or help someone recognize the man pictured,” she stated.

The police are urging anyone who recognizes the man in the CCTV footage or has any information related to the incident to contact Kent Police at 01843 222289, referencing case number 46/103165/24. Additionally, for those who wish to provide information anonymously, Crimestoppers can be contacted at 0800 555111 or through their online form.

The investigation continues as authorities seek further information to assist in the case.
