Man Jailed for Brutal Assault on Newborn in Liverpool Hotel
David Tilici, 29, from Chapel Street, Luton, was sentenced to 10 years after being found guilty of assault and child neglect.
Shocking Attack Inside Campanile Hotel
On December 11th, Tilici was staying at Liverpool’s Campanile Hotel when he violently assaulted a newborn baby in his room. The baby’s mother was on a call at the time and heard distressing sounds. She quickly alerted hotel staff, who called emergency services immediately.
Baby Rushed to Hospital with Serious Injuries
The infant was taken to Alder Hey Hospital, where doctors confirmed the injuries were from non-accidental trauma. Tilici, who had been drinking, was unable to explain what happened. Police arrested him later that evening.
Justice Served with a Decade Behind Bars
Following the court proceedings at Liverpool Crown Court on August 2nd, Tilici received a hefty 10-year jail sentence for the horrific attack.
