The recall applies to the ISEO F6 Extra and R700 series of European Cylinder Locks sold between January 2023 and January 2024. These locks, particularly the thumbturn versions, pose a severe fire hazard due to a malfunction that could prevent quick escapes during emergencies.
The identified issue lies within a faulty rotator screw component inside the lock. While the external mechanism may appear functional, the faulty component can cause the lock to fail from the inside. This could have catastrophic consequences in the event of a fire, trapping occupants inside.
