Drug Dealers Busted: Two Men Caught in Brighton Crackdown
Two men have been nailed for pushing class A drugs on the streets of Brighton. Aiden Dore, 23, from Mount Pleasant, and Daniel Smith, 40, of Lower Rock Gardens, both admitted dealing.
Street Sting Leads to Big Find
Undercover cops caught the pair in the act back in August 2020. A swift flat search at Lower Rock Gardens uncovered more drugs, burner phones, cash, and drug-dealing gear.
Heavy Sentences for Major Player
Dore got slammed with four and a half years behind bars at Lewes Crown Court on June 30. Meanwhile, Smith, who played a smaller role, dodged jail time but picked up a two-year suspended sentence and a £500 fine.
“This is a filthy trade that wrecks people’s lives,” the judge warned.
Local Police Promise Ongoing Crackdown
Detective Inspector Dee Wells of Brighton’s Community Investigation Team said: “The illegal drug trade devastates our city—not just through the spread of harmful substances, but the violence and exploitation that come with it.”
“We will keep hunting down those dealing drugs and harming our communities. Our work with partners to tackle the root causes of drug use will continue, making Brighton and Hove safer for everyone.
