Three Boys Caught in Cheltenham Moped and Bike Theft Spree
Three boys have been arrested in Cheltenham after police swooped on a string of moped and bicycle thefts sweeping the town. Officers acted fast following reports of suspicious activity in the early hours.
Early Morning Sting Sees Suspects Nabbed
At around 3am on Friday, October 18, police received a tip-off about a group pushing a moped suspiciously along St Marks. Less than two hours later, a second call revealed a similar gang attempting to nick a bike on High Street.
Officers launched an immediate search and found three boys matching the descriptions. The 12 and 15-year-olds were caught red-handed in possession of bicycles believed to be stolen.
Charges Laid, Investigations Underway
- The suspects—two aged 12 and one 15—face charges including moped theft, attempted bike theft, and criminal damage.
- They remain in police custody as inquiries continue.
