Four Injured in Stratford Stabbing After ‘Group Fight’ – One Arrest Made

A violent altercation in Stratford during the early hours of this morning (Friday, February 14) has left four men injured, prompting a major police investigation.

The Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a group fight on The Broadway, near Stratford Centre, shortly before 4 AM.

Victims and Injuries

Four men, all in their 20s and 30s, were injured in the incident:

  • Three men, aged 22, 32, and 36, suffered stab wounds
  • A 26-year-old man sustained an injury to his jaw

Police confirmed that none of the injuries are life-threatening or life-changing.

Road Closures and Travel Disruptions

Due to the ongoing investigation, the A11 Broadway remains closed near Stratford Tube, DLR, Overground, and National Rail stations.

  • Diversions are in place, affecting nearly a dozen bus routes
  • Traffic congestion has built up on Romford Road, Vicarage Road, and The Grove, reaching back to Maryland Station

One Arrest Made

One person has been arrested in connection with the attack, police confirmed, after initially stating that four arrests had been made.

London Ambulance Sent Resources to the scene

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 4.04am today (14 February) to reports of a stabbing on The Broadway, Stratford.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and a paramedic from our tactical response unit. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consisted of a doctor and a paramedic in a car.

“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in less than four minutes.

“We treated four patients and took them to hospital.”
