Two men arrested after fatal hit-and-run in Colindale

Detectives have swooped on two suspects after a tragic hit-and-run left a woman dead in Colindale. The victim, a woman in her 60s, was struck by a car on Grahame Park Way on Tuesday, 25 March. Despite emergency services rushing to the scene, she was pronounced dead at once.

Suspects in Custody

The following day, cops arrested two men aged 18 and 19 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. Both remain in police custody as investigations barrel on. The offending vehicle didn’t stop but was later found abandoned in nearby Franco Avenue.

Police Launch Witness Appeal

The Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urging anyone with info to come forward. A Met spokesperson said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw individuals leaving the car in Franco Avenue. We are particularly interested in any dashcam or CCTV footage that may help piece together what happened.”

The victim’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
