Child Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on A127 Near Brentwood

A child is in hospital following a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on the A127 Southend Arterial Road near the village of Little Warley, close to Brentwood.

Incident Details

Emergency services were alerted to the incident shortly after 11 am today (March 30). Essex Police officers responded to the scene alongside the East of England Ambulance Service, discovering that several vehicles were involved in the collision.

The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance was dispatched, but the injured child was ultimately transported by road to Queen’s Hospital for further medical care.

Emergency Response

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11:06 am with reports of a road traffic collision on the A127 Southend Arterial Road near Little Warley, involving multiple vehicles. Three ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle, a rapid response vehicle, and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. A child was transported by road to Queen’s Hospital for further care.”

Ongoing Disruption

Due to the severity of the incident, disruption is ongoing along the A127, with a partial road closure still in place. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where possible and to follow official traffic updates.
