New CCTV image released in frantic search for missing 76-year-old Carolyn Groom
Last seen in Northfleet – Police issue fresh appeal
Kent Police have dropped a new CCTV picture of vulnerable Carolyn Groom, who vanished in Northfleet on the evening of Monday, 7 April. The 76-year-old hasn’t been seen since, sparking a huge hunt to find her safe and sound.
Spotted on camera in Gravesend at 1am
The CCTV footage shows Carolyn around 1am on Tuesday, 8 April in the Darnley Road area of Gravesend – hours after she was first reported missing. She’s described as 5ft tall, with grey shoulder-length hair. At the time, she was wearing a long grey skirt, a black long-sleeved cardigan, and black ballet-style slippers.
Urgent plea from police
Kent Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for Carolyn’s welfare. A spokesperson urged the public: “We’re appealing for anyone near Darnley Road in the early hours of Tuesday morning to check doorbell or dashcam footage. Any sightings, no matter how small, could be vital to help us find Carolyn safe.”
