Man Stabbed in Crawley – Three Arrested in Knife Attack Probe
A 21-year-old man suffered a neck stab wound in Crawley late Thursday night, sparking a police hunt that led to three arrests.
Victim Walks into Hospital with Serious Neck Injury
The victim went to hospital on April 10 with a wound to his neck. Thankfully, the injury is not life-threatening. Police believe the stabbing happened around 11.30pm in Memorial Gardens, near Queensway in central Crawley.
Three Men Held Over Grievous Bodily Harm
- A 21-year-old Crawley man
- A 20-year-old from East Grinstead
- A 20-year-old from Croydon
All three are in custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent after being arrested early Friday at an East Grinstead address.
Police Warn and Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“This incident highlights our concerns regarding knife crime. All parties are believed to know each other,” said Detective Chief Inspector Pauline Lane from Sussex Police. “If you saw anything, captured footage on mobile, CCTV, or dash cam, please get in touch.”
DCI Lane added Sussex Police are working with partners to tackle knife crime with education, protection for victims, and tough action on offenders. She stressed: “Knife crime is absolutely not welcome in Sussex.”
