Image Released in Gravesend Sexual Assault Investigation

Police have released a computer-generated image of a man they wish to identify as part of an ongoing investigation into a sexual assault that took place on a bus travelling between Gravesend and Dartford.

The incident occurred at around 5pm on Tuesday, 25 February 2025, while the victim was riding the 480 bus service. It is alleged that a man, unknown to the victim, touched her over her clothing and made lewd comments before disembarking the vehicle.

Description of Suspect

The suspect is described as:

  • Speaking with a foreign accent
  • Wearing a dark raincoat and blue jeans
  • Carrying a rucksack, a can of beer, and a plastic carrier bag containing additional cans

Following extensive enquiries, including examination of CCTV footage along the bus route, officers have produced a composite image of the man they believe could assist with the investigation.

Police Appeal

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet come forward, or anyone who recognises the man depicted in the image, to contact Kent Police.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was on the bus at the time of the incident or who may recognise the man in the image. Any information, no matter how small, could help progress the investigation.
