Four teenagers have been charged following a terrifying assault on emergency service workers in Eastleigh. The attack happened in the early hours of Tuesday, 16 June, on 1 Road, where two emergency workers were assaulted and their vehicle damaged.
The Charges Laid
- A 16-year-old boy from Eastleigh faces two public order offences for causing fear of violence.
- A 17-year-old boy from Eastleigh charged with assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, and resisting arrest.
- Another 17-year-old from Eastleigh faces charges for assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, resisting arrest, and causing fear of violence.
- Arron Singh Punia, 18, from Great Farm Road, Eastleigh, charged with assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage, resisting arrest, and a public order offence.
Next Steps in Court
All four are set to appear before West Hampshire Youth Court on 26 October 2020. This swift action sends a clear message: violence against emergency service staff will not be tolerated.
