Car crashes into Belvedere bungalow in the early hours
Emergency services rushed to Bedonwell Road, Belvedere, just before 3am on Tuesday, 27 May 2025, after a car smashed into a bungalow near the Hythe Avenue junction. The crash caused extensive damage to both the vehicle and the property, leaving debris scattered across the driveway and significant structural harm to the front of the bungalow.
Man in His 40s Injured and Hospitalised
A man believed to be the driver, aged in his 40s, was injured in the smash and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. His condition is currently unknown but is not thought to be life-threatening.
“We were called shortly before 3am to reports of a car in collision with a house on Bedonwell Road, Belvedere. One man was injured and taken to hospital. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing,” confirmed a Metropolitan Police source.
Firefighters and Engineers Assess Damage
Firefighters and structural engineers attended the scene to inspect the damaged bungalow. Thankfully, no residents were hurt in the incident.
Police Hunt for Witnesses
Officers are investigating how the crash happened. It’s unclear if any arrests have been made. Police are appealing to anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage from the Bedonwell Road and Hythe Avenue area to contact them on 101.
