The A2070 in Kent is closed southbound this evening between the M20 at Junction 10 and the A2042 near Ashford after a serious road traffic collision.
Kent Police and other emergency services remain at the scene, and motorists are being urged to avoid the area while recovery and investigation work is carried out.
Diversion in Place
Drivers heading southbound should follow the hollow triangle diversion symbol:
- Exit the M20 at Junction 10 onto the A292 towards Ashford town centre.
- Continue to Wellesley Road, merging into Station Road and then Beaver Road (A2042).
- At the Romney Marsh Road / Bad Münstereifel Road roundabout, take the eastbound Bad Münstereifel Road to rejoin the A2070 at the Cloverleaf interchange.
National Highways advises drivers to plan ahead, allow extra time, or consider delaying travel.
