Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed on Deptford High Street on Wednesday evening (August 20).

Officers were called at 7.36pm following reports of a stabbing. Emergency services, including the 1 Ambulance Service, attended the scene and found a man in his 40s with stab wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.

At this stage, no arrests have been made and detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Appeal for witnesses

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
