Woman Arrested After Toddler Swallows Mystery Drug at Famous Liverpool Hotel
Police swooped after a four-year-old boy swallowed an unknown drug at Liverpool’s iconic Adelphi Hotel on Saturday morning.
Emergency Call to Adelphi Hotel
North West Ambulance Service alerted officers at 9:55am on 15 June 2019. The boy had reportedly ingested a substance inside the city centre hotel.
Child Taken to Hospital for Checks
Thankfully, the youngster showed no immediate signs of ill health but was rushed to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for observation. The drug was recovered and is now being tested.
Woman Held on Suspicion of Drug Possession and Child Neglect
A 39-year-old woman from Widnes was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug and child neglect. She has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
