A fierce fire erupted at the multi-million pound Kings Hotel, sending thick black smoke into the sky. The 17th-century, family-run venue, famed for weddings, has only just finished a major refurbishment.
Roof Collapses as Flames Spread
Part of the roof has crashed down while flames roar through the building. Firefighters battle the blaze using ten crews and two aerial appliances, with around 60 firefighters from four counties now on site.
Roads Closed, Public Advised to Stay Clear
Police confirm all guests have been accounted for with no injuries reported. Several roads are shut off to help fire crews, who have divided the incident into four sectors to contain the inferno.
Authorities urge locals to keep windows and doors shut and avoid the area until the fire is fully under control.
