Two Teens Held After Knife Attack in Bilsthorpe
Boys Hospitalised but Injuries Not Life-Threatening
Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were rushed to hospital after a violent attack in The Green, Bilsthorpe, Newark, on Saturday evening. Fortunately, neither suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
Suspects in Custody Over Serious Assault
The pair have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in police custody. The shocking incident unfolded around 5.10pm on 12 March 2022.
Police Crack Down on Knife Crime
Detective Sergeant Matt Dumbrell, Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is quite clearly a very serious incident which, due to sheer luck only, thankfully hasn’t ended in tragedy and with two teenage boys sustaining much more serious injuries.”
“We are absolutely committed as a force to eradicating incidents of knife crime from our communities and to taking anyone who gets involved in this kind of behaviour off our streets.”
