Police Hunt Man Linked to Multiple Salford Attacks
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are on the hunt for a man tied to a series of troubling incidents across Salford. Detectives believe these offences are connected and are urgently appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Schoolgirl Approached at Bus Stop
On Monday night, a 15-year-old girl was approached by a man at a bus stop in Salford. The man made unwanted advances before trying to persuade the teenager to follow him to his dark hatchback car.
Parents immediately reported the frightening encounter to GMP, who are now working to link this incident with two others thanks to CCTV footage.
Three Incidents Under Police Scrutiny
Police want anyone with dashcam footage from the following dates and locations to come forward:
- November 21, 6-7pm: Rocky Lane, Monton Green, and Monton High Street
- November 21, 8-9pm: Mossfield Road and Ackworth Road, Swinton
- November 16, 7:45-8:20pm: Liverpool Street (between Fitzwarren Street and Albion Way), Salford
Detective Inspector Demands Action
“The victims have been left very shaken up by this encounter, and it’s very important that we get this man identified and off the streets as soon as possible,” said Detective Inspector Chris Horsfield of Salford division.
Officers believe the suspect was driving a dark-colored hatchback, but need dashcam footage to nail down the car’s make, model, and licence plate.
If you witnessed anything or have footage, contact Greater Manchester Police immediately. The community’s safety depends on it.
