A ruthless gang of four crooks have been locked up for a wild car theft and burglary spree across north Worcestershire. The crew targeted vehicles and homes in Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull, and Leamington late last year.
Big Jail Terms for Redditch and Bromsgrove Crime Wave
- Eid Ajam, 20, from Solihull, copped nearly three years for stealing cars plus another nearly three years for break-ins — sentences to run concurrently.
- Sufian Younis, 21, also from Solihull, got two years and seven months for vehicle theft alongside two years and four months for burglaries, running at the same time.
- A 16-year-old from Birmingham was slapped with a strict two-month curfew, rehab orders, and a 12-month ban on contacting his gangmates.
- Alfie Flynn, 18, from Birmingham, dodged jail but received a suspended sentence just over a year for stealing cars and break-ins.
11 Offences Spanning Four Towns
The quartet was found guilty of conspiracy to commit burglary and vehicle theft during their spree from November to December 2023. Their crime wave hit six times in Redditch and Bromsgrove, four times in Solihull, and once in Leamington.
Police Crack Down on Cross-Town Crime Spree
Officers finally arrested the gang by tracing them to a vehicle linked directly to the offences, putting an end to their rampage.
“These sentences send a clear message that organised vehicle theft and burglary will not be tolerated in our communities,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson.
