The incident happened just before 1:30 PM on Monday, December 8th, at Victoria Square. Emergency crews rushed in after the collision was reported. Paramedics treated the woman’s serious foot injury at the scene before rushing her to hospital.

“We were called shortly before 1:30 PM after a woman in her 80s was knocked down by a mobility scooter on Victoria Square,” a police spokesperson said. “She sustained a serious foot injury and was treated at the scene before hospital transfer. The scooter did not stop, and we are making efforts to trace it.”
