Darren Richardson, 58, from Thompson Avenue, Beverley, has been jailed for 11 years after being found guilty of historic sexual offences against four children and one woman.
Horrific Crimes Spanning Several Years
Following a two-week trial at Hull Crown Court that ended on 4 March 2026, Richardson was convicted of 11 sexual offences involving non-recent abuse. The offences included:
- Two counts of gross indecency with a boy under 14
- Two counts of gross indecency with a boy under 16
- Two counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14
- Two counts of assault by touching a girl under 13
- One count of indecent assault on a boy under 14
- One count of assault by touching a boy under 13
- Sexual assault of a woman
These vile crimes devastated four child victims over a number of years.
Lifetime Sex Offender Register Sentence
In addition to his prison sentence, Richardson will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, ensuring monitoring long after his release.
